Mega Mantis is like a cross between Egg, Inc. and Pocket Ants. I tried it as is, but I enjoyed it. While I don't typically enjoy these types of games, it was a good option for passing the time.

When you come back later, countless new praying mantises are waiting for you. It's simple, yet exciting because you never know what to expect.
There are Countless Surprises
A new praying mantis species emerges from each cocoon, and they all look different - some are cute, some are strong, and some are just crazy. The Mecha Mantis and Druid Mantis were among my favorites because they look so unique.
You can upgrade them, combine them, and gradually build a large army without any stress or effort. This progression feels great when you start the game.
Free Legendary Gifts
The game also features a card system that allows you to strengthen your mantises. At first, I thought it would be difficult, but it's actually very easy to understand. The Mysterious Cocoon card pool is especially exciting because it offers a chance to get a rare Sky, Earth, or Mystic Mantis.
And the best part? As soon as you log in, you get a legendary mantis named General Guan Mantis. It's very powerful and very helpful, especially in the beginning.
Intermittent Fun Battles
Although the game is mostly played in Idle Mode, there are so-called Survival Trials where you can fight bosses. You can control your mantis, choose abilities, and dodge attacks. This is a nice change from the automatic gameplay.
Battles aren't stressful - they're just fun little challenges with great rewards.

Each mantis can be upgraded in a variety of ways - more power, more speed, more defense. You can create your army exactly the way you want. No two mantises look alike, and no two teams are the same. That's what always excites me.

The graphics blew me away. The mantis is highly detailed, and as your colony grows, the world around it changes. The animations are fluid, and the music is soothing. Sometimes I just let the game take its course and watch new species emerge.
