The use of malicious mods is not condoned by MelonLoader. In online games, for example, mods can be used to cheat.
The MelonLoader software allows you to load mods for any Unity-based app. It eliminates the need to use multiple mod loaders, making it a convenient tool for both custom players and developers.
It also has its own set of modifications that change the tool's performance, appearance, and capabilities in addition to the game-specific mods it can load, modify, and store. Consider an app that manages all your mods for games like Cuphead, Subnautica, Escape from Tarkov, and Cities: Skylines.
Unity mods can be created and loaded
It supports IL2CPP and Mono, two of the most commonly used scripting backend frameworks for developing apps in Unity Engine's cross-platform environment, making MelonLoader a universal mod loader for Unity games. In addition, it has found support from local modding communities for certain games, meaning additional resources and support from modders.
In addition to having a small file size, it's also very easy to store. Take note, however, that it requires some technical expertise to use effectively. You may have to try a couple of times before you get it working correctly, but it gets easier as you use it. Additionally, the app can load other mods besides game mods.
There is a debugger built into it, for example, which allows you to modify content within the app. A theme can also be loaded or the user interface can be customized. To avoid getting banned, it is generally recommended to only use it for single-player games inside other launchers like Steam or Epic Games.
