Gameplay

This update took longer than usual, and that's entirely due to how much went into it. I truly appreciate your patience, so let me walk you through exactly what I've been working on.

First, this update kicks off Episode 5, titled "Conclusions," which will wrap up the remaining storylines and endings. I chose to split it into a new episode because the game has grown so large that updating the full distribution was becoming a hassle for those who download the whole thing. Moving to a new episode always means extra coding: building a questionnaire, tracking all event flags, correctly transferring game states, and so on. That alone eats up development time, but that's not the main course.

I now have access to XSens mocap equipment, and I spent a chunk of time learning how to create MoCap animations. Turns out, it's a pretty complicated process that demands writing a bunch of processing and conversion scripts to bring those animations onto DAZ3D characters. Still, I'm genuinely excited about what's coming next – especially the dances for Monica's final battle in Shiny Hole! That's going to open up a ton of possibilities for a sizzling storyline.

Most of my time, though, went into crafting Monica's boxing match scene. As you know, I never just churn out cookie-cutter updates; I love introducing fresh features that genuinely improve the game and make you guys happy. Implementing real-time combat mechanics has been a goal of mine for ages. It's a complex, slow process, and I knew it would delay the update, but with the storyline pushing forward, I couldn't put it off any longer.

The mechanic? Fully animated, real-time fighting!

The problem was that I couldn't find combat animations anywhere online that fit the bill – they were either boring or poor quality. That wouldn't cut it; I want our game to be the best it can be. So, my friends at L7team helped me track down real female kickboxers (!) to film Monica's fight moves against Charlotte. The catch: we only had one XSens suit. We had to record the movements on video first, then have the other character wear the suit to replicate them. After that came many days and weeks of painstakingly fine-tuning the animations. Interactions between objects in mocap are always tricky – in AAA projects, actors are cast to match the characters' proportions exactly (height, arm length, etc.) – but I had to manually process every animation, adjusting timing and movements by hand.

I'm not a professional at this, and it was my first ever mocap experience, so please don't judge the results too harshly ;-)

All told, you can expect around 280 manually rendered visual fragments that deliver cinematic quality to the gameplay, including some unexpected hot content woven right into the combat ;-) You'll see Monica come fully alive and help her express every bit of her character. I really hope you enjoy this scene and that my efforts pay off.

And that's not all this update brings! It's absolutely packed with hot scenes. On top of that, you're getting about 2,300 new images and many classic hot animations. The plot is racing toward its climax, so multiple storylines are starting to intertwine. That means if certain story branches were discontinued earlier, some content with other characters may be unavailable – your choices truly matter.
