About This Game
Go on a quirky tourist road trip in a two-seater pedal car! Go through different terrains where you’ll end up going down all the wrong paths. Explore your surroundings and take photos along the way. Will you make it to the end of the journey... alone or in a pair... or will you roll back down a hill, questioning the meaning of life?
Communication is the key! Each player can only pull the steering lever on their side of the vehicle.
Stronger as one. The two pilots coordinate their efforts to pedal and brake more effectively.
If things get hectic, don't panic. Trying to put the handbrake on or reverse at the same time can be disastrous!
You steer left, I steer right, what could possibly go wrong?
Everything. From mistimed turns to frantic braking, the road to the finish line is paved with hysterical arguments and near-misses. When you're not in sync and your sense of direction fails, your peaceful seaside stroll quickly turns into complete disaster.
While this journey is designed for two, you can absolutely take on the road alone. In solo mode, you'll have full control of the steering and be the only captain on board... but that also means you've only got yourself to blame when things go sideways!
Can't reach the finish line? Don't worry about it. Stop the quadricycle, take a deep breath, and admire the landscape. The journey might be a catastrophe, but at least the postcard will look great.
Patch: 0.1.5 - New Tutorial, Play Offline
Patch Notes
Additions:
- For new players, the first game will start with a brand new tutorial, teaching the basics of how to drive the Rosalie.
Tweaks:
- It is now possible to start a game when offline or not logged into Steam. You won't be able to invite and play with friends.
- Added alerts when joining a friend to make sure both players have the same game version.
Bugs:
- Fixed another bug where you could get stuck in camera mode.

Fixes:
- Added missing translations for certain words.
- Controller: the character no longer rotates towards the direction selected on the wheel after using an emote.
- Player 2 will no longer block scene detection for collection photos.
Upcoming - Split-Screen Mode
In parallel with the leaderboards, we've also been working on the long-awaited split-screen mode. Many of you have asked for it, and some are waiting for it to buy the game... it is coming!
Split-screen will allow you to enjoy Rosalie on the same computer with a friend or loved one, using Keyboard/Mouse AND/OR Controllers. It will also allow Remote Play Together to work, so you can play online with friends who don't even own the game yet!
You will have the option to choose between Horizontal or Vertical Split (if you have a widescreen, for example).
Playing in Split-Screen will count for Leaderboards.
Split-screen is mostly ready too, but we still have a few elements to tackle, such as:
- Photo mode and the album
- UI and UX for creating and loading split-screen games
- UI for mapping your devices to each player
- Handling various possible issues (like when a device is disconnected, etc.)
The split-screen update will roll out soon after the leaderboards, as soon as it's ready!
What's Next?
Reworking the Photo Mode (And More)
The current photo mode is limited:
You can only capture specific scenes.
Taking a photo doesn't actually capture what you see, so your friend can't pose in the pictures.
We've seen it on Twitch streams, people have given feedback about it, and this was our plan already! People want to capture random things or beautiful landscapes, they want to pose in their photos and make their own Album! You are tourists, this is YOUR journey, and you should be able to capture what you want.
Which is why we will be working on:
A reworked photo mode that allows you to capture anything.
The specific scenes will still be there to be captured, and you will be able to pose in them.
Emotes for better poses (or just to be silly).
Maybe a Selfie mode?
The work on this has just started. We'll keep you updated when we have more to share!
Second Map
The journey doesn't end at the Inn!
If you are among those who reached the end of the map wishing for more, we want to let you know that we are working on the next map.
The original plan for the current map was twice the size it actually is! But for many reasons, we decided to split it in half. The first half takes you across a city and urban areas, slowly transitioning into rural and off-road parts. The second map will pick up right where the first one ends, and will lead you into more varied landscapes and unexpected things!
