Tiers Explained
Let's quickly explain what each tier means before we get to the tier list:
S Tier:
You should definitely add these characters to your party as they are some of the best in the game. Getting access to equipment and leveling up should also be their priority.
A Tier
When you don't have enough S tiers unlocked in your party, or when your party isn't large enough to fill with S tiers, these characters are perfect for filling those gaps. Identify which character will counter your party's weaknesses by investigating these characters.
B Tier:
When you haven't unlocked many characters yet, this tier of characters can prove invaluable, but they fade as the game progresses. You should use them when you do not have S or A characters, but swap them out whenever you can.
C Tier:
A character of the C or D tier can occasionally have niche uses, but that's the only real difference between them. There is a possibility that they will excel at a particular game mode or be exceptionally powerful in the beginning. There shouldn't be any in a late-game party, however.
D Tier:
Under no circumstances should you use these characters unless you have no other option. Across all stages and game modes, they underperform.
