Gameplay
River Runners is a cooperative multiplayer adventure where you and up to 3 friends must work together to survive a dangerous, ever-changing river. Players can each take their own raft, split into groups, or work together in a single raft.
The river grows more dangerous as daylight fades. Time is a limited resource, and as the sun sets, visibility drops, making it harder to spot threats ahead. Along the journey, collect resources to purchase useful items and upgrades that improve your chances of survival. But beware—colliding with obstacles can damage the raft, tearing holes that must be patched quickly before it loses air. Strong teamwork, quick decisions, and clear communication are the key to making it to the end.
Work Together
Maneuvering the raft is not a one-person job—everyone on board needs to coordinate to avoid obstacles and collect loot. Clear communication and quick decisions are essential.
Avoid Collisions
Bumping into terrain and other obstacles floating in the river can puncture holes in the raft.
Patch Holes
Holes in the raft drain its air; too many holes for too long will sink your crew.
Collect Money
Collect chests floating in the river to turn in for money once you reach base camp.
Purchase Items
Purchase different items with the money you've collected at the start of each day to aid your team in their next day on the river—each one is harder than the last.
Have Fun
Explore the different twists, turns, and challenges that each leg of the river throws at you and your crew.

1.1.0 – New Map & Multiple Rafts
A shorter, easier map, "Desert Dive," to explore. Do it in your own raft or work together in one!
New Map "Desert Dive"
A shorter and easier map with 3 new biomes. Designed to be completed in 45 minutes to an hour for new river runners to learn the ropes on.
Multiple Rafts
Your crew can now take up to 4 different rafts. Split into 2 rafts of 2, each take your own, or split 3 to 1.
Quality of Life
$20 – Starting money increased to 20 to account for the extra duct tape you'll need with more rafts.
Restart day – Failing after you've completed a day will now allow you to restart that day with the items you started with. You won't need to go back to the start and can keep trying if you feel you have enough items and money to do it. You may still need to start over if you weren't efficient enough with your item usage or chest collecting in previous days.
Raft Deflation – Deflated rafts don't fail the run at base or on land anymore. If your raft is close enough to base or on land, it won't end the run if it deflates. This gives you a chance to sell your chests and repair once you reach base.
