Taboo Titans feels like it's being made at a snail's pace. I've been keeping a close eye on this game because I'm a big fan of the series that it's making fun of. The most recent update has kind of "taken things back to formula—oops, wrong world! I mean, there were some good steps taken, and the game has a lot of promise, but there isn't a whole lot to do here right now. If you think of this as a preview, you will enjoy the game much more.
They already know who to call
The story of Taboo Titans isn't very exciting, but at least it gives you a good reason to get to know Starfire and Raven (and maybe some other people, too). This is a joke about the awesome Teen Titans series, as you may have guessed. We take on the role of a trainer whose job it is to take care of the girls after they finish a task. You have to massage them to make sure they are not too sore and are ready for the next task. When the main character touches someone, they feel better and are more likely to give in to him.
Let Me Touch You
Yes, I just made a connection to Bon Jovi from the 1980s, and I am very proud of it. Taboo Titans looks great, and if you've ever liked the girls in the Teen Titans series, you'll love what they've done here. With the most recent update, the game's graphics got even better. I thought it was a lot of fun to see characters like Raven, Starfire, and Jinx in these kinds of "naughty" settings. If you like the series, you'll probably be happy with how they look here.
Over faster than a fight with Slade one-on-one
As I said in the beginning, the making of Taboo Titans has not been the easiest. There isn't a lot of information here, but there is a lot of promise. You can click around the screen to make sure you are in the right place at the right time, but it is not a sandbox-style game. It's more like a visual novel where you have to say and do the right things to get along with the people. At the time, things seemed pretty linear, but it looks like there are plans for different paths in the game, which is pretty exciting.
