Forge APK Review
Update Minimum Requirements: As of version 1.4.0, Forge Forod requires Android 4.4 or later. If you're using an older version of Android and you can't upgrade to the new one, stick with version 1.4.0 and do not upgrade. Important: If there are serious issues with the game (such as snagging, crashes, inability to update, etc.), please provide the content of your Forge.log file immediately after the game crashes or stops. You can find this file in the "Data" folder of your forge installation. We cannot help you without this file.
Note that manual intervention is required when running Forge v1.4.0 or earlier. You will need to manually download and install the APK file again using the link above. Once you do this, additional updates will be automatically recovered, as they were in the past.
Note: If you have not already enabled source setting already on your device under Security, you will be prompted to continue the installation. This is not a concern, as it is only necessary because you are not installing from Google Play. You can disable it at any time after the installation is complete. However, if you want to install the update, you must re-enable it.
Note 2: If you already have Forge installed and just installed an update, you can usually install it. You should not uninstall first. If that fails, the first attempt is to uninstall and reinstall. In any case, you can ensure that your map images, decks, settings and search data are not lost.
After installing the update for the first time or running the application, the source files needed to run the application will be downloaded automatically. It should not take more than a minute or two, and the welcome screen will show the progress of downloading and unpacking.
By default, the Blacksmith card is not full of pictures. There are two ways to insert map images:
Automatic
Open the settings screen and click the Files tab. Select one of the first two options to download LQ images. It depends on whether you want to save space and download only one image per map, as opposed to one image for each map. The map is displayed. A dialog appears and starts after pressing. The pictures are being downloaded. This process may take some time, please be patient.
Leader
Open the SD card in your device. If possible, this is very easy with your device connected to a desktop .p computer. Otherwise, you can use the File Explorer application and navigate to "/ storage / emit / 0", which is exactly like the standard Android Explorer My files must be all files. Navigate, dummy/data
Note that you can also copy settings from the desktop .P version of the deck, the browse data, and the duplicate data. The following mappings are implemented (based on Windows users with default application data locations).
If you do not have access to your computer or want to play other decks (especially unless deck editing support is added), you can also download the integrated forge \ data \ deck download from the Forge Deck forum. And can unpack.
Running app
If everything works well, a welcome screen should be displayed when loading source files, maps, decks, and fonts. Then go to the home screen shown in the first screenshot above.
From here, you can tap the settings to customize your selections, as needed. For example, select a topic (all forge topics are supported). If you've moved your Forge Desktop .p installation settings, you probably skipped this step. Note that in addition to the Home screen button, you can access the Settings screen from anywhere by pressing the Menu button on your device.
Touch New Game. You will be redirected to a familiar screen where you can configure each player's name, avatar, deck, and human / AI. After that, you press start to play the match. Alternatively, you can click on the drop-down menu in the upper right corner of this screen to access other game modes like Drift, Seal, Quest Mode, Gauntlet, or the new Planner Victory mode.
Missing features
Mobile Forge is mostly fully equipped but currently has some missing features.
- Card animation when changing zones
- War animation
- Spell solutions
- Scroll display for scroll pan
- Desktop. Synchronize data with P Forge
- When you edit the search buttons, the Maine icon buttons appear at the top of the keyboard
- Quest tournaments are playable, but with only a few breaks and only simulation results of AI versus AI (so you can't watch AI vs. AI game).
Currently, there are very few active employees, especially for Mobile Forge. So if you have the technical skills and the time and the desire to help, you are welcome to join!
Error Report
Please post bug reports and questions in this thread if they are somehow applicable to the UI. Cards that do not work properly or behave incorrectly are shared by both the desktop and mobile versions of the game and should therefore be posted in the appropriate thread (possibly an error report (snapshot)) thread because Mobile Forge is enabled: Update more dynamic schedules and changes that are currently unavailable in current desktop versions: Viewopic.fpp?
Known aspects
It has been reported that some tablets must be set to portrait mode, otherwise, the app will open from a black screen.
If the screen is locked and the device goes into standby mode (especially for a long time) or you switch to another app briefly and then return to the blacksmith shop, you will lose the game's wealth. After unlocking again, the screen may be damaged (all Ingram elements are displayed in black). In this case, you can simply restart the game completely. In most cases, it is possible to measure this by enabling the Link Screen Screen option in the Forge preferences.
When Forge freezes after clicking on the "Designed" screen, it either explicitly switches to the default theme or copies files from Forge / Race / Skin / Default that do not already exist. Fix picture like avatar tiles.
