Gameplay
The world is a great and dangerous ocean, with monsters and danger around every corner. A young King, betrayed and broken, awakens an ancient Leviathan, a living island that can carry a whole city on its back. Now they must build a kingdom, sail between islands and face the horrors rising from the mist.
Two Players, Two Playstyles
One player takes on the role of the Fish, commanding a strategic, bird's-eye view. The Fish oversees city-building efforts and supports the King on the battlefield from a broader perspective. The other player steps into the boots of the King, experiencing the action up close through a third-person isometric view. The King fights enemies, gathers vital resources, and listens to the needs of the villagers on the ground.
Asymmetric Co-Op
Both players share a single goal—but their roles couldn't be more different. The Fish sees the full picture, managing city layout, production, and incoming threats. The King operates on the ground, noticing details the Fish might miss: villagers' personal struggles, nearby dangers, and the intensity of combat itself. Victory depends on seamless coordination between the two.
Unique Villagers
Every villager in KingFish is one of a kind, complete with their own perks, weapons, and preferences. These individual abilities form the foundation of both the kingdom's defense and its economy. Level up your villagers and equip them wisely to transform them into fearsome warriors or masterful artisans.
Roguelike City Building
Each run brings fresh maps, new mechanics, and evolving challenges. Together, you must adapt to what you uncover and survive for as long as you can.
